SWALLOW THE SUN: 'Don't Fall Asleep' Single Enters Finnish Chart At No. 3

SWALLOW THE SUN's new single, "Don't Fall Asleep (Horror Pt. 2)", has entered the Finnish national chart at position No. 3. View the entire chart at this location. The single features two versions of the title cut (the video version and the album version),and "These Low Lands", which is a cover version of the TIMO RAUTIAINEN AND TRIO NISKALAUKAUS song "Alavilla Mailla". "These Low Lands" features a guest lead vocal appearance by Tomi Joutsen of AMORPHIS. A video for "Don't Fall Asleep (Horror Pt. 2)" can be found at YouTube.com. Produced by Medialouhos and directed by Antti Hyyrynen, the clip was shot in November 2006.

"Don't Fall Asleep (Horror Pt. 2)" comes off the group's forthcoming third album, "Hope", due on February 7 via Spinefarm Records. Audio samples of three songs from the CD — "Hope", "These Hours of Despair" and "Too Cold for Tears" — are available at this location.

The follow-up to 2005's "Ghosts of Loss", "Hope" was recorded at Seawolf Studios in Helsinki and was mastered on Oct. 16 at Finnvox studios with Minerva Pappi.

According to the band, the album will feature a vocal appearance by Jonas Renkse of KATATONIA on the song "The Justice of Suffering".

"Ghosts of Loss" entered the official Finnish album chart at position No. 8.

SWALLOW THE SUN has been confirmed for this year's installment of the Wacken Open Air festival, set to take place August 2-4, 2007 in Wacken, Germany.
